Nick is an English photographer specialising in polar, wild places and science photography. We worked together on board the Greenpeace ship Arctic Sunrise for ten weeks in 2009 as we all-but circumnavigated Greenland from the Lincoln Ice Bridge in the NW down to Prince Christian Sound and up the east coast to 79N Glacier. Greenpeace's mission, called Arctic Impacts, was to complete glaciological and oceanographic surveys during the voyage. My job was to provide safety measures while off the ship, Nick's was to photograph the wealth of scientific activity both on and off shore.
In 2015 Nick was commissioned for a National Geographic article, On Thin Ice, with one of his photos featuring on the cover of the January 2016 issue.
